# Plans & Pricing

> Compare Tiny Talk plans and choose the right one for your needs.

Tiny Talk offers a free plan and three paid plans. All paid plans include access to 50+ AI models with monthly credits.

## Understanding your limits

### Characters

Characters measure the total amount of text content in your [Knowledge Base](/features/knowledge-base). Every document, URL, and imported file counts toward your character limit. This is a **permanent** limit — think of it like a USB stick. The more content you upload, the more capacity is consumed. Delete content and the capacity is freed up. It does **not** reset monthly.

* A typical web page: 5,000-15,000 characters
* A 10-page PDF: 30,000-50,000 characters
* A 100-page document: \~300,000-500,000 characters

### Messages

Both visitor messages and human agent replies via the Help Desk count toward your message limit. AI responses do not consume messages — they consume [credits](#credits) instead. The counter resets at the beginning of each billing cycle.

### Credits

Credits are consumed each time your agent generates a response. Most models cost **1 credit**, while premium models cost between **2–10 credits** per response. See [AI Models](/features/ai-models) for the full list with credit costs per model.

### Tools

[Tools](/features/tools) let your agent call HTTP endpoints to take action — look up records, update systems, or trigger workflows. The **per agent** limit caps how many tools a single agent can have enabled.

### Team seats

Seats determine how many additional team members you can invite to your workspace (beyond the owner). See [Workspaces](/workspace/workspaces) for details.

## What happens when you reach a limit?

* **Character limit reached** - You cannot upload new content to the Knowledge Base until you delete existing resources or upgrade your plan.
* **Message limit reached** - The agent will stop responding to new messages for the remainder of the billing cycle.
* **Credit limit reached** - Similar to message limit, the agent pauses responses until credits reset.

## Add-ons

Add-ons let you expand your subscription with exactly what you need. They are billed monthly and do not roll over. Manage add-ons in **Settings → Billing**.

## Upgrading or downgrading

Go to **Settings → Billing** in the dashboard to change your plan. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

## Billing

* Payments are processed via Stripe
* Monthly plans are billed on the same date each month
* Yearly plans are billed once per year at the discounted rate
* Invoices are available through the Stripe billing portal, accessible from **Settings → Billing**
